Chief Executive Officer
Mike Brennan has lived in and built businesses in London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. An experienced private equity and public company CEO, Mike has also established/managed operations in New York, Dubai, and Singapore. During his career he has been involved in or driven multiple exits for investors. He is one of the very few CEOs in the sector who has held the position of CEO within privately owned, private equity backed, and publicly listed businesses.
In 2016, Mike joined a UK listed business as a ‘Turnaround CEO’. In 2018, it posted its best annual revenues in over a decade and in 2019 returned to profit. Having profitably steered the business through the pandemic, Mike resigned in 2021. On joining KTB, Mike initially served as a Board Advisor whilst undertaking a strategic review for shareholders. This subsequently saw him being appointed Group CEO in 2022.
His historic turnaround success saw Mike being recognised by CEO Today as one of Europe’s top CEOs in 2019. In that year he was also invited to join the United Nations UK Judging Panel which recognizes those in business who have promoted the case for diversity. Mike was also announced as one of Europe’s top CEO’s by Global 100 in September 2020. In 2020, Mike was asked to join an economic commission chaired by former UK Chancellor, Lord Philip Hammond. In 2023, Mike was appointed Chairman of a publicly-funded UK regional Skills Board to help businesses and educational providers address the skills shortage. Mike is a passionate promoter of social mobility and diversity, and a champion of apprenticeships.
In 2022, Mike wrote and published his first book and launched a successful initiative to help deliver much-needed aid to the people of Ukraine.
Chief Development Officer
Alex Raubitschek is an experienced Corporate Development/Partnership specialist, NED, and M&A Advisor. With a background in both privately owned and PE backed business, and with over 20 years’ experience in the Human Capital Services space, he has developed a particular emphasis on Work Tech/HR Tech. He also has several years working within Public Sector having been an elected official for one of London’s largest local authorities, as Deputy Mayor and more recently for a Yorkshire Borough. Alex is a strategic and operational leader with experience of governance, partnerships, fundraising, revenue generation, and management. From an M&A/Corporate Development perspective, Alex has direct experience of successfully initiating, running, selling and buying businesses. His speciality is sourcing, identifying and aggregating structured growth SME businesses with a view to enabling an enhanced valuation at exit. Alex has an interest in Work Tech initiatives, both ideation through to start up and early stage; an emphasis on business solutions that answer social questions. He is at the forefront of cutting edge global technology and is involved in various global tech summits, often acting as a judge and speaker. Alex joined KTB initially as a Board Advisor before being appointed Chief Development Officer in 2022.
Group CTO
Derek Macrae is a highly experienced, innovative, strategic CTO. With a successful background in the establishment of disciplined, process-driven teams across Europe and the US, Derek has delivered concurrent, high quality, complex projects within set timeframes and to budget. An experienced technology leader, he has not only driven design, but also led development, support, and implementation teams for internationally deployed systems. This has seen Derek manage annual spend in the region of £100-700m and supporting tens of thousands of users. Derek joined KTB initially as Board Advisor before being appointed as Group CTO in 2022.
